My word.....

I recently read a dear friends blog and she had a post, "My word for 2007", "My word for 2008". I was totally intrigued. I read her post and each year she and some friends and family select a word for the year.
Something that inspires them, encourages them, and drives them.
My friends word for 2007 was "be", her word for 2008 was "do", these are simple words but carry tremendous power when used in a positive way.....
She aspired to "be" a better wife, "be" the mommy to her kids...etc.
2008, she aspired to "do" more and she listed all of the things she would be "doing" in 2008.
I applaud the effort and energy behind the concept of spending an ENTIRE year working on the same goal and the same word!
I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!
In the coming months I will be pondering what my word will be. In January 2009, I will be selecting MY word and once selected, I will let you all in on my word and my plan for putting my word into action!

My challenge for you; come up with your own word for 2009 and may your word inspire you to "do" something you have always wanted to do or "be" someone you never thought possible!
