Summer Time Fun!

Well....it isn't feeling much like summer...yet! We had snow in the mountains today (June 11th) and rain in the valley. We have had a strange spring....lots and lots of rain. I keep telling Trev that IF we have a couple of nice days, our plants should really take off. So far we haven't had very many nice days but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

We don't have a lot on our summer agenda just yet, but it is amazing how quickly the summer fills up. We are planning a week long trip to Lake Powell with my folks that we are really looking forward to and we will be meeting Trev family in western Idaho in July for a weekend camping trip. Both trips should be amazingly fun!!

Trevor and I really enjoy the activities and the weekend trips, but we also enjoy just being at home and the girls having time to just play. The girls are both in gymnastics and seem to really enjoy it. They will both be playing outdoor soccer in the fall. We may take the girls out of gymnastics for this summer just so we have time to enjoy the summer without having to rush from place to place. We want to have time for long evening walks, picnics in the park, and the impromtu heading to the mountains for the day.

We are looking forward to whatever summer brings our way!!

Latest Update

As many of you know we built a new house last year. We moved in last July. It is hard to believe that it has been a year (almost). Selling our house and moving wasn't bad, it was the unpacking that was crazy!! We settled in and started on the yard. We got our yard in last fall, so this spring we have been busy planting, which is the part that I really enjoy.

Teagan started the 1st grade just days after we moved in. Well.....she has now just completed the 1st grade, it is amazing how time flies!! Addison will start school in 2009, so she has another year of preschool before she gets to join her big sister at school. Trev and I have been involved with Teagan's class this year, we have attended the PTA meetings, school parties, and several school activities. We are excited to get involved.....this is the fun part....the reason that you have kids! Right? Well....that and once you have kids, you have a rational for dressing up at Halloween! :)

We have really enjoyed our new neighborhood, it is filled with families with kids Teagan and Addi's age. We have met some amazing new friends. We are looking forward to getting to know additional folks in our neighborhood.
